ABOUT MEBeing over 50 years old, I am more conscious about my health and being menopausal, I know that my body has changed and taking care of myself both physically and mentally is a priority. I am also passionate about helping women in the peri-menopause and the menopause to take control in living their healthiest lives, working on mindset, movement/exercise and nutrition.
Whilst at school, I was never sporty or into fitness, it was only when I joined the Royal Air Force at the age of 17 years, that I worked on my fitness levels and found my passion for circuit training sessions. Whilst in the military, I trained to be an Exercise to Music instructor and set up classes in a local village hall and also in the military gym. I then became qualified in instructing Spin, Kettlebells, Circuit Training, Metafit (HIIT), Personal Training, Pre and Post Natal Exercise, GP Referrals. I instructed training sessions for military personnel to ensure that they were fit enough to pass their bi-annual fitness tests. I also taught classes in local Leisure Centres, Gyms, local Parks and also set up my own Bootcamps, as well as Personal Training clients in the local gym and also in client's homes. I also worked in a gym for over 3 years helping people with their fitness goals. Whilst in the military, I travelled a lot and had some amazing jobs, the best one working on The Red Arrows for 4 years and went on a 6 week tour of Asia. My hobbies outside of work are...obviously the gym, taking part in obstacle mud runs, reading personal development books, travel and cooking. |
