About Me
Hi, I’m Jo, the founder of GI Jo Fitness. My journey in fitness and wellness began during my 25-year career in the Royal Air Force, where staying fit wasn’t just a passion—it was essential. It started with me getting fit to join the Royal Air Force (I wasn't even sporty at school) and then fell in love with circuit training to help me keep fit. I then qualified as a fitness instructor, I led fitness classes, trained military personnel, and helped them pass their annual fitness tests.
Through my own experience, I discovered that fitness is more than just physical strength—it builds confidence, resilience, and a strong mindset. I loved how movement helped me feel empowered, energised, and mentally strong, and I wanted to share that with others.
After leaving the military, I continued to grow my skills, completing various fitness qualifications and running my own successful fitness business. I coached:
✔ Bootcamps & group fitness classes
✔ One-to-one personal training (home & gym-based)
✔ Strength & endurance coaching
A Holistic Approach to WellnessNow, my focus is on helping women over 40 regain their confidence, energy, and strength through a holistic approach to wellness. I understand the challenges that come with life changes—especially menopause, where mindset, nutrition, and movement play a huge role in feeling your best.
Alongside fitness coaching, I also run an online wellness business with Arbonne, a company that aligns with my values of clean, plant-based nutrition and skincare. Our bodies thrive when we fuel them properly, so I incorporate Arbonne’s high-quality products to support my clients in gut health, energy, hormone balance, and overall wellbeing.
